Summer Bishil was born in New York City. The actress is most famous for her character, Margo Hanson in Syfy's fantasy show The Magicians. She had previously gained recognition by playing the 13-year-old American Lebanese girl Jasira Maroun who undergoes tumultuous personal experiences in set against the backdrop of the U.S. war in Iraq in the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. She was later named one of the Top 10 actors of Variety in 2007 was also a great honor. The 2009 film Crossing Over, in which she portrayed the tough character Taslima Jhangir and was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award as the best female lead. In addition to Lucky 7, she also played on screen in several movies like the film Mooz-lum The Last Airbender Pop Star, Under the Silver Lake and the film Moozlum The Last Airbender Pop Star.
